GHex 42.0
=========

I am pleased to announce GHex 42.0, the first stable release of GHex based on
GTK4!

Despite earlier statements, I have decided to adopt the newer style of
versioning for the application, to avoid confusion. The application version
will represent the version of the GNOME platform that is targetted. The
library, libgtkhex-4, will have a more traditional version numbering scheme,
which will be documented in the NEWS file with each GHex release.

This release includes libgtkhex 4.0.0

Many people volunteered their time and skills to provide contributions between
4.beta.1 and now. These contributions have included bugfixes, documentation
tweaks, and many translation updates, which is greatly appreciated.
